My Story
Hello! My name is Bryan Barber and I'm a photographer from Vermont, USA with over a decade of experience. It all started with a hobby and a point and shoot camera. That moved onto a DSLR and photographing for my high school yearbook and friends senior portraits. When I got to college I got more serious with my work, taking a job as the staff photographer for my colleges athletic department. Also, while at school, I shot for the college newspaper, The Critic, where I won a Society of Professional Journalists award for Feature Photography. Starting as a contributing photographer shooting occasional events around campus as I was assigned them and submitting the photos I took with the athletic department for publishing. I worked my way up to chief photographer and photo editor in two years. My junior and senior year in college I was one of only two staff photographers for the news paper and I was in charge of editing and organizing photos as well as assisting with laying out the paper every week. I also began working with models more consistently to widen my photographic skill set. Since graduating I've been continuing to sharpen my skills as a photographer in pursuit of my ultimate goal, making a living with my camera.
